Debra is a “power user” of LibGuides but not a “techie.” She uses LibGuides to create internal (Intranet) pages for College of Dupage Library’s Public Services and Collection Development committees as well as reference and staff training pages. On public pages, she creates consumer (patient) level pages used for not only consumer health reference, but also health workshops and presentations. Her academic LibGuides cover special topics courses; single and multiple program guides; accreditation resources; assignment and research tips; APA citation and research help; as well as the typical promotion of resources. Debra adds brief videos, resource carousels, graphics/images, and her Bitmoji cartoon avatar to liven-up and personalize her pages. LibGuides allows her to create multi-purpose guides with time-saving, reusable content and boxes.
Interested in chatting further about LibGuides and how we can use them to enhance our medical/health outreach and education initiatives? Don't hesitate to reach out because I'd love to exchange ideas and identify new opportunities and uses for LibGuides!
