A guide to finding and using Music resources for research and performance in Booth Library

Finding Music Specific Materials

When using the catalog, different types of music materials can be found by using the "Tweak your results" function on the right hand side of the results screen. This is especially helpful when you need to refine your search to music scores or music recordings. The number in the highlighted boxes below show how many items in a given format, or by a particular composer the library owns based on your search. In this example we searched for double concertos

Recordings

CDs are located on the 4000 level of Booth Library.  There is also a large collection of LPs in storage that can be requested at any service desk.

Library Technology Services (LTS) on the 4000 level of Booth Library has facilities to help with music listening.  Equipment includes a LP turntable, two Yamaha electronic keyboards and several computers for audio playback.
